Security Update: Trustage Cybersecurity Incident
Sea Air Federal Credit Union works with TruStage to make insurance and protection products available to our members. TruStage recently reported a cybersecurity incident involving its systems.
This incident did not affect Sea Air FCU’s internal systems, online banking, debit cards, or member accounts.
What happened?
TruStage identified a cybersecurity incident affecting its technology systems. The company shut down parts of its network as a safety step and is working with cybersecurity experts to restore service.
Because of the outage, TruStage customers may have trouble viewing policy information, completing transactions, or making payments.
Your policy remains in place
If your TruStage policy is active or in a grace period, your coverage will remain in place during the outage.
Policy payments may not be taken from your account right now. Please continue to keep enough money in your account to cover your regular policy payments. When TruStage begins processing payments again, the funds may be withdrawn from your account.
Protect yourself from scams
Scammers may use news about the incident to send fake messages or make unexpected calls. Take these steps to protect yourself:
Do not click links in unexpected emails or text messages.
Never share your password, PIN, or verification code.
Do not provide personal or financial information unless you have verified the request.
Visit TruStage’s website by typing the address into your browser.
Contact Sea Air FCU directly if a message does not seem right.
