CheckRight is a web-based checking account management education module designed to teach you how to manage a checking account. Use CheckRight if:
· you are looking to open a checking account for the first time or
· you have had difficulty handling an account in the past.
Among other things, CheckRight will help you learn how to:
- open an account
- write checks
- make deposits
- maintain a check register
- reconcile an account
- create a spending plan
CheckRight is a self-study program that allows you to learn at your own pace. Once you have read through the chapters, you will be directed to a quiz that will test your knowledge on checking accounts. You will be able to view the results and you have the option to send the results to the credit union via e-mail.
BASE ENTRY REQUIREMENT
All members and non-members must check-in at the Pass and Identification office. Please be sure to have your Sea Air membership card, current driver's license, current registration and proof of insurance with you when coming to the credit union. Scam Alert!
Fake Lotteries and Sweepstakes
Don't fall victim to fake lotteries and sweepstakes. The prospect of winning large sums of money is very enticing and the notices being mailed out may look official but it's nothing more than mail fraud. Some of these notices are mailed with a bogus Cashiers' check or you are instructed to send a check to claim your prize.
Keep the following in mind:
- You shouldn't have to pay to collect a winning from a legitimate contest.
- You can't win a contest you didn't enter
- Lottery tickets can't be sold across national borders
If you receive any of these mailings, please contact USPIS at 877-876-2455 or if you received an online solicitation, contact the Internet Crime Center at www.ic3.gov\
Bogus Foreclosure Help
Beware of Financial companies with promises of foreclosure rescue.
- Be suspicious of anyone who offers unsolicited help
- Don't sign documents under pressure or without clearly understanding what you are signing
- Never sign any documents with spaces left blank
- Be wary of any requirement that you must deed your home as collateral
If you are a victim of foreclosure scam, report it by calling Freddie Mac's Mortgage Fraud Hotline at 800-437-2838. Also contact your state attorney general's office.

Please do not respond to emails requesting to verify any type of personal information. We will never request to verify personal data via email. Do not ever use any links provided in the email, regardless of how authentic the email might appear. Contact the institution who appeared to have sent the email, using the contact information you have on record and inform them that you received an email.
